No More Delphi From Borland

Borland announced on Nov 14, 2006 its decision to separate the Developer Tools Group into a wholly-owned subsidiary focused on maximizing developer productivity. The newly formed operation, CodeGear, will be responsible for advancing the four primary product lines formerly associated with Borland’s Integrated Development Environment (IDE) business. These include Developer Studio (Delphi, C++Builder and C#Builder), JBuilder (including the upcoming Eclipse-based “Peloton” offering), Turbo and Interbase.

Current version of VoiceBox 3.6 developed on Borland Delphi and certified for Windows 2000 only.

JSI Telecom is one of North America's largest developers of court-ordered or lawfully authorized electronic communications intercept solutions. In business since 1979, JSI is a strong, stable company with a wealth of experience and knowledge our customers depend on. JSI Telecom Inc., located in Sterling VA, is looking for a Technical Support/Engineering Support Advisor with 2-3 years of experience with Windows 2000, MS SQL Server and C+. U.S. citizenship is a requirement. The position requires a minimum of a Secret security clearance. Only those applicants selected for follow-up will be contacted.

Job Description

This Technical Support/Engineering Support Advisor will provide timely and high quality responses to Customer questions on VB UCM (tm), including troubleshooting problems over the phone, through modem access, or by on site visits to the Customer's system. In addition, this person will identify recurrent problems and help users resolve them, create service notes, training and application notes, as required. The successful applicant will also perform major software upgrades to Customer systems, via remote connection or in the field. This Technical Advisor is expected to provide support during JSI's business standard hours of 8 am to 8 pm, "on call" Technical Support, including some weekends and holidays. The Resource will be expected to make changes to the SQL Data Base and provide engineering support as needed for Technical Advisors. The person must be willing to travel both in the United States and Overseas. They must be able to obtain a US Passport.

Education

BS/ in CS or EE or equivalent

Required Knowledge

- W2K/XP Pro OS and Windows networking

- IP networking

- MS SQL Server, C+ and Complex software applications (Knowledge of Lotus Notes is helpful.)

Required Skills

- Exemplary customer orientation

- Strong analytical skills

- Ability to prioritize as well as manage multiple tasks

- Sound judgment

- High self-confidence

- English Language (read, write & speak)

- Foreign Language skills a plus - Spanish would be an asset
